Established by Emiri Decree under Law No. 7 of 2005, the QFC Regulatory Authority serves as the independent regulator of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC). Our role is to authorise and regulate firms and individuals conducting financial services in or from the QFC.
At the QFC Regulatory Authority, we value transparency, predictability and accountability, and approach our work in policy development, authorisation, supervision, and enforcement with these values in mind. We operate to the highest international standards of regulation and best practice, and strive to develop financial awareness and protection for customers and investors.
The Regulatory Authority works closely with a number of public entities and professional organisations on the joint efforts of strengthening Qatar’s regulatory framework and building a legacy of regulation for the State.
“The QFC Regulatory Authority works closely with the State of Qatar to ensure the soundness and stability of Qatar’s financial landscape. We are proud to assist with the establishment of a healthy financial environment that encourages economic diversification and sustainable growth, a vital pillar of the National Vision 2030.”
