IAIS comprises insurance supervisors and regulators from more than 200 jurisdictions. Its mission is to promote effective and globally consistent supervision of the insurance industry to develop and maintain fair, safe and stable insurance markets for the benefit and protection of policyholders and to contribute to global financial stability.

The Regulatory Authority is a member of the IAIS and actively participates in and supports its work.

The Regulatory Authority regularly completes Self-Assessment Peer Review questionnaires and provides feedback where appropriate regarding IAIS consultations and surveys. This participation, which includes attendance at the annual IAIS conference and sub-committee meetings, is important to the Regulatory Authority as it provides an opportunity to contribute to the IAIS’s latest policy initiatives and monitor international regulatory developments and best practices.
