Farah Abdulrahman Al Muftah joined the Regulatory Authority as Director, Office of the General Counsel in January 2019. Prior to this, she held the positions of Acting General Counsel and Associate General Counsel of Litigation and Compliance at Al Jazeera Media Network.
During her time at Al Jazeera, Mrs Al Muftah advised on the acquisition, development, production, and distribution of content on all Al Jazeera platforms, and handled Al Jazeera’s litigation and compliance matters in multiple jurisdictions.
Prior to her appointment at Al Jazeera Media Network, Mrs Al Muftah spent three years at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, where she served as Legal Counsel in the Projects division, advising on the different
aspects of delivering the stadiums and associated infrastructure required for the 2022 FIFA World Cup™. In addition, Mrs Al Muftah established and chaired the Workers’ Welfare Committee to ensure the health, safety and dignity of workers who are helping to achieve the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
Mrs Al Muftah is licensed by the California State Bar, and holds a Juris Doctorate of Law from Loyola Law School, Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (summa cum laude) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (summa cum laude), both from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
