Mr Mohammed Saif Al Sowaidi is currently Chief Investment Officer, Americas, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). Mr Al Sowaidi leads QIA investment across the various asset classes in the Americas region. He is also a member of the QIA Executive Committee. Mr Al Sowaidi joined QIA in 2010 and held multiple roles including Head of Private Equity Funds, and Portfolio Manager for TMT and Industrials portfolios. He has also served as President of the QIA US Office in New York from 2015-2020. Mr Al Sowaidi helped establish the QIA US Office, which hosts an investment team that supports QIA’s mission of becoming a significant investor in the US.

Before joining QIA, Mr Al Sowaidi was Director of Corporate Banking at Masraf Al-Rayan, covering the Government and Real Estate Sectors from 2006-2010. Prior to his position at Masraf Al-Rayan, he was a Financial Analyst at the ExxonMobil Treasury in Qatar from 2004-2006.

Mr Al Sowaidi is a CFA Charter holder since 2013 and holds an MBA from the TRIUM Program and a Double Major Bachelor’s Degrees in Statistics and Finance from the University of Missouri, USA.
