Mr Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi is currently Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Investment Authority. Prior to this role, Mr Al-Sowaidi served as the Chief Investment Officer of Americas, overseeing QIA's investments across various asset classes in the region.
Mr Al-Sowaidi joined QIA in 2010 and took on various positions, including Head of Private Equity Funds and Portfolio Manager for TMT and Industrials portfolios. He also held the position of President at QIA Advisory (US) from 2015 to 2020.
Before his tenure at QIA, Mr Al-Sowaidi worked as the Director of Corporate Banking at Masraf Al-Rayan, where he focused on the Government and Real Estate sectors from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, he worked as a Financial Analyst at ExxonMobil Treasury in Qatar from 2004 to 2006.
Mr Al-Sowaidi achieved the CFA Charter holder status in 2013, and he holds an MBA from the TRIUM Program as well as Double Major Bachelor’s Degrees in Statistics and Finance from the University of Missouri, USA.
