The Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) is a member of the GIFCS, and the Regulatory Authority attends GIFCS meetings with the QFCA. This long-established group of financial services supervisors has a core interest in promoting adopting international regulatory standards in the banking, fiduciary and AML/CFT arena.The GIFCS promotes compliance with the Basel Core Principles and the FATF Recommendations among its members. The GIFCS is recognised as a leading authority regulating trust and company service providers and the interface of these intermediaries with AML/CFT standards.

The group aims to contribute to global financial stability by supporting and adopting international regulatory standards and promoting best practices where appropriate.
