11. Geographic distribution of gross exposures
Exposure to Qatar remained the largest segment of geographical
exposure. The proportion of total exposure to China reduced,
whereas the exposure to the Russian Federation and Kazahkstan
(included in “Other”) increased in 2020 compared to 2019.
Exposure to GCC-excluding Qatar remained constant while
exposure to MENA-excluding GCC reflected a marginal decline.
Exposures to the USA, UK, and EU remained relatively small.
