Be’atna (Our Environment)

Sustainability Award

The RA was recognised for being one of the 160
entities that participated in Qatar Sustainability

Week 2020. This is the third time that the Regulatory

Authority participated in Qatar Sustainability Week,

an initiative of the Qatar Green Building Council

(QGBC) that, aims to engage the community in
a range of sustainability-oriented activities.

Be’atna: Battery Recycling at the RA

Recycling and waste management play big roles

in Qatar’s agenda to protect the environment. In

August 2020, the Regulatory Authority launched
a new initiative of battery recycling partnered

with Rassas, the only recognised battery recycling

facility in Qatar. Under this Be’atna initiative, the

environmental hazard caused by the improper
disposal of batteries is significantly reduced.
