5. Retained premium and ceded premium G WP/NWP & RETENT ION TREND
The total gross premium written by QFC insurers in 2020
increased to QAR 833m from QAR 780m in 2019, an annual
increase of 6.7%. The proportion of retained premiums has
slightly decreased from 79% in 2020 to 77% in 2019.
