6. Combined ratio analysis L O S S /EXPENSE & C OMBINED RAT ION TREND
The combined ratio was below 100% over the 12-month
period ended 31 December 2020 in contrast to a higher
than 100% combined ratio in the 12-month period ended 31
December 2019. This improvement in underwriting results
reflects better performance of QFC insurers in 2020 as
opposed to the lower results of 2019 where a few number
of large property claims were incurred by some firms.
