Internships
The internship model has successfully embedded
itself in the culture of the QFCRA. In 2022, 11 interns
participated in learning and development, work
experience, and information sharing opportunities.
Qatari students in high school and university benefitted
from internships at the QFCRA, learning about core business
activities ranging from bank supervision to macroprudential
analysis to drafting legislation and the basics of finance.
These internships were supported by the Al Masar programme,
designed to provide opportunities to high-performing
university and post-graduate students to work in a professional
environment while they are still working on their degrees.
My internship at the QFCRA not only prepared
me for the corporate life, but it solidified
my choice to work in Qatar’s growing
financial sector. I learned a lot about the supervision
function and financial regulation in general.”
