Cloud-First strategy

The QFCRA completed its migration of IT infrastructure

to Microsoft’s cloud, Azure, in 2020, making the QFCRA

the first government entity in Qatar to fully operate
on Azure and featured on Microsoft’s website for

successfully migrating to Azure and Microsoft 365.

In 2021, the organisation’s Cloud-First strategy allowed

the QFCRA to explore artificial intelligence and advanced
machine learning capabilities of Azure Analytics and to

adopt a cloud-based system to upgrade their existing

Enterprise Resource Planning and Intranet platforms.

Technology and sustainability

Driven by the organisation’s commitment to its

sustainability programme, Be’atna, the QFCRA launched

and completed its multi-phased responsible e-waste
disposal in 2021. Electronic items that cannot be reused

or refurbished were recycled in partnership with one of

the leading metal recycling enterprises in the country.
